Practical process of implementing test automation for a project. This class will go through the steps from start to finish of implementing test automation for a project. The material will cover the areas:

  1. Initiation of the implementation, how to correct the myths and convince management to support the effort.
  2. Selection of tests to automate and how best to build them.
  3. Tool proof of concept and selection.
  4. How to select staff and training.
  5. Framework selection and construction. How to construct a Hybrid framework (Components & Keywords).
  6. How to use a Subject Matter Expert (SME) approach to test construction.
  7. Setup of an automation lab and how to scale it up.
  8. Next steps for future.
